Creating a new mindset brings an opportunity for new perspectives & new outcomes. Without a shift in thinking, old habits will remain, or creep back in. But habits can be changed, leaving you free to let go of what's been getting in your way
No food is a sin
Start to detach negative associations from food. No more 'good' 'bad' 'naughty' 'syn' 'failure'. Nope, none of that. Instead, We're beginning to create a healthy lifestyle by making consistent little changes. It's about progress, not perfection.
You don’t have to eat like a rabbit to lose weight
No living on lettuce here! It's about nourishing, not punishing or depriving yourself. The old sayings really are the best ones to live by. "Everything in moderation" and "a little bit of what you fancy!".

The number one way to stay on track is to feel full, not starving. This helps prevent the impulse snacking, that often triggers poor food choices and overeating.
The importance of non-scale victories
Enjoy the journey, not misery unless, or until you hit your goal. When we fixate on a single number on the scales we're working from a 'failure mindset'. Let's reframe this to learn, grow, and celebrate every step, not just the end goal.
When I look back, I wasn’t ever massively overweight, yet I used to starve myself, fall off the wagon, then binge in secret. I was lonely, ashamed, had a love/hate relationship with food and it ruled my life.
Every waking moment was spent thinking about food - how to avoid it, how to control it, or how to regain control of it.
Then everything changed for me when I started to really understand food and how our body processed it.
Very quickly I discovered how to nourish not punish my body, found joy in pouring the goodness in, and learned how our bodies process different food groups (the science!), which made eating logical and enjoyable, because it's no longer emotion, stress, or comfort driven.
The reasons behind issues around food are complex, emotion based and damaging, so simply being told to ‘eat less and move more’ doesn’t really help . It offers zero insight, or the knowledge required to make lasting change.
Diet culture has a lot to answer for too.
From the language used, “good, bad, syn, clean, guilt-free”, which is so damaging because it promotes feelings of guilt, shame and 'all or nothing' thinking, to the sense of failure it instils until that number on the scales is the winning one.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
I broke free from food misery and now have a healthy relationship with food, feel the best I have in years (whilst being in menopause) and am buzzing with energy.
All directly from food, which is now my friend, and all at the age of 50. I want this for you too.

I’d allow about 45mins to an hour a day to focus on your journey. Here’s how the course looks;
Daily Drops - the drops are quotes or bite size videos at around 2-5 minutes long, so they're easy to digest (excuse the pun!).
The Live’s are 30 minutes each (x 1 per week)
Keeping a daily food journal - 10 minutes
Progress Review - 1 per month, 20 minutes
Space to reflect on what you’re feeling, learning, shifting - as much as possible to let the shifts in mindset keep gently landing.
As you’ll learn, every body is different and one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to food.
Scientifically, for weight loss our body needs to be in a deficit, ie: to burn more energy than we are consuming.
That’s where keeping a food journal is really important to monitor your individual progress, to find the right balance for you and get the results you deserve.
Weight loss also varies depending upon race, gender and starting weight.
I’m not dodging the question btw! My approach is to not fixate on the scales and if I state typical weight loss, it may set an expectation that’s not realistic for you.
Instead, enjoy learning, discovering and celebrating lots of non-scale victories along the way.
This is a 14 Day jumpstart, both for mindset and body, so we’ll be focusing on non-scale victories as well as weight loss.
Occasionally, the mindset needs longer to adjust before our actions and habits become aligned with what’s required for weight loss.
